Cycle-Zone Cycle Club has a very active and vibrant cycling community and it is largely due to the efforts and enthusiasm of Club members. 


The club promotes bicycling as a lifetime activity that encourages good health, wellness, friendship, and personal accomplishment.


The club offers the opportunity to bring together like-minded athletes who wish to share the sport of cycling with others. With an emphasis on fitness riding, club members believe in nurturing and respecting one another’s abilities, and working together to improve cycling skills for safe riding in a group.


 

Membership allows you to benefit from the association with other cyclists to broaden your knowledge and enjoyment of the sport, be it organized racing, or riding for fun and fitness. The Cycle-Zone Club was established to encourage beginner and intermediate cyclists to keep cycling, to know there will be others waiting for you and to experience the social enjoyment of cycling.


What all of our members have in common is a love of cycling and the desire to promote the healthy lifestyle cycling has to offer. The club promotes safe and enjoyable rides and the opportunity to advocate cycling awareness in our community.


The Cycle-Zone Cycle Club offers training rides throughout the week and caters for all skill levels.  Our primary focus is our weekend group rides, as well as regular training rides during the week. Group rides consist of 26km, 50km, 72km, 80km, 100km and 100km+ rides.  


Camaraderie is the club's main focus and success. We believe in looking out for each other. You won't be left behind to find your own way home.

The club was formed to meet the needs of beginner and intermediate cyclists in the Greater Johannesburg area. Our main Focus is to help, improve and grow the confidence of each cyclist and to grow the family dynamica in the sport.

Special attention, help and advice are given on proper bike set-up and equipment. 

We also aim to develop pathways for those pursuing an interest in racing, with particular emphasis in developing women’s and junior racing, and we have a number of female riders of varying ability who can provide support for new members.

If racing is your thing, then our calendar shows the races that we will target and support.
